Mercedes Benz GLA: The Luxurious SUV Of 2021

The German carmakers launched their new Mercedes Benz GLA 2021 at an introductory price of 42.1 lakhs onwards (ex-showroom). The new luxurious SUV is the talk of the town with its revised features and design. And even though the company commenced the launch a month prior, it was delayed due to the second wave of the pandemic.

The sharp-looking off-roader has a broader front and back giving it an edge-cutting, sharper classic SUV look. This SUV is where design meets and technology. The car has a muscular and sporty look to it with its prominent and structured lines. The car price starts at 42.1 lakhs and goes up to 57.3 lakhs. 

The Design, The Interior, And The Innovation

The new Mercedes Benz GLA sports the classic Mercedes SUV design but with a couple of add-ons like its redesigned radiator grille and its bumpers. It sports multi-beam LED headlamps and the reworked LED tail lights as well. You even get two different options for its wheelbase, mainly 17 inches and 19 inches. With the redesigned Mercedes Benz GLA 2021, you can easily cruise through the traffic or go off-roading into the tougher terrains.  

The cockpit of this luxurious SUV also comes with redesigned digital upgrades along with the newer leather seats and upholstery color themes. The digital upgrades include the new digital instrument cluster, the new touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, multifunctional steering wheel, wireless charging pad, USC type C port, electric-assist tailgate, and the AMG variants also gets the Burmester surround sound system. 

The Safety, The Power, And The Performance

The new Mercedes Benz GLA supports seven airbags providing ample cushioning and support. Along with this you also get a load of safety features such as radar-based active braking assist, active bonnet for pedestrian safety, hill start assists amongst other features. The strong built of the car gives ample room and utmost driver comfort and the broader features provide better safety.  

The car is available in both petrol and diesel engines as well as an AMG variant available as well. The GLA SUV has a 161 bhp 1.3 liters four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and a 188 bhp 2.0 liters four-cylinders turbocharged diesel motor as well. The AMG variant has a 302 bhp 2.0 liters four-cylinders turbocharged petrol motor with a 7 gear DCT gearbox. The diesel option has 8-speed G-Tronic automatic torque converter unit.
