1. Definitions
This section defines key terms used across these Terms & Conditions:
  • “Auto Hangar”: Refers to Auto Hangar India Pvt. Ltd., an authorized franchise partner of Mercedes-Benz India.
  • “Customer”: Any individual, entity, or corporate buyer engaging with Auto Hangar to book, purchase, service, or finance a Mercedes-Benz vehicle.
  • “Vehicle”: Any new, pre-owned, or demo model offered under the Mercedes-Benz brand through Auto Hangar.
  • “Agreement”: The contract entered into between Auto Hangar and the Customer upon vehicle booking, purchase, service, or participation in an Auto Hangar campaign.
  • “MBIL”: Mercedes-Benz India Pvt. Ltd., the national distributor of Mercedes-Benz vehicles in India.
2. Scope of Application
These Terms & Conditions apply to all forms of customer engagement, including but not limited to:
  • Purchase or booking of Mercedes-Benz vehicles via Auto Hangar dealerships.
  • Digital and online interactions through www.autohangar.com or www.autohangar.mercedes-benz.co.in.
  • Use of services, participation in events, test drives, finance plans, extended warranty purchases, and promotional campaigns.
  • Communications conducted via digital platforms, email, WhatsApp, SMS, or in-person showroom interactions.
These Terms are deemed accepted once a Customer engages in any transaction with Auto Hangar.
3. Vehicle Booking & Purchase
  • A booking is confirmed only upon payment of the designated booking amount and issuance of a valid booking receipt from Auto Hangar.
  • The Customer acknowledges that a booking does not guarantee final delivery unless the full payment is made and statutory clearances (RTO, insurance) are completed.
  • The final ex-showroom price shall apply as on the date of invoicing, regardless of the booking date.
  • Accessories, extended warranties, service packages, and insurance products are optional and billed separately.
  • All bookings are subject to model availability and allocation confirmation from MBIL.
4. Financing & Subvention
  • Customers may opt to finance their vehicle via Mercedes-Benz Financial Services (MBFS) or any other partner financial institution.
  • Auto Hangar may offer exclusive finance schemes like STAR Agility+, which include flexible down payment, low monthly EMI, guaranteed future value (GFV), and options to Upgrade, Retain, or Return the car.
  • Any promotional subvention or upfront support is applicable only after written confirmation by Auto Hangar or MBIL.
  • Customers are responsible for understanding the full terms of their financing agreement. Auto Hangar is not liable for disputes regarding interest rates, EMI schedules, documentation, or loan sanctions.
5. Delivery Timeline
  • The estimated delivery time is communicated at the time of booking and is subject to:
    • Availability of stock with MBIL
    • VIN allocation timelines
    • Registration formalities, RTO documentation, and insurance activation
  • Delivery dates are indicative and may be extended due to:
    • Transport strikes
    • Natural calamities
    • MBIL production constraints
    • Legal/regulatory changes
  • Auto Hangar shall not be held liable for any loss of opportunity, rental car cost, or business loss arising from delays in delivery.
6. Cancellation & Refund Policy
  • Customers may cancel a booking at any point prior to full payment and invoicing by submitting a written cancellation request.
  • Refunds for canceled bookings will be processed within 15 business days, after deducting:
    • Booking cancellation fee (if any)
    • Charges for any special accessories or registration already initiated
  • Once the vehicle is invoiced or registered, cancellation is not permitted under standard terms.
  • In case of cancellations under special circumstances (e.g., non-allocation of desired variant), Auto Hangar may consider refunding the entire amount, subject to management discretion.
7. Warranty & Service
  • New vehicles are covered under the standard Mercedes-Benz manufacturer warranty of 2 years, extendable up to 6 years with STAR Ease and Extended Warranty plans.
  • Customers are encouraged to purchase service packages at the time of booking to ensure optimal maintenance, cost savings, and service predictability.
  • Warranty coverage is void if the vehicle is serviced or repaired at unauthorized workshops or modified against MBIL guidelines.
  • All claims under warranty or service contracts are subject to MBIL’s final decision and governed by its internal processes.
8. Data Privacy
  • Auto Hangar adheres to the Mercedes-Benz Global Data Protection Standards and complies with applicable Indian laws, including the IT Act and consumer protection regulations.
  • Customer data (contact details, vehicle data, service records) may be used:
    • For service reminders, feedback collection, and offer communication
    • To share relevant updates on safety campaigns or software upgrades
    • For lead analysis, marketing performance, and audience targeting
  • Auto Hangar does not sell or misuse customer data and maintains secure digital environments for storage and transmission.
  • Customers may opt out of marketing communications at any time by contacting enquiry@autohangarindia.com.
9. Test Drives & Event Participation
  • Test drives are available by appointment and require:
    • Submission of a valid driving license
    • Acceptance of the test drive declaration and liability waiver
  • Auto Hangar reserves the right to deny test drives in case of unsafe conditions, prior negative history, or unavailability of demo cars.
  • Customers participating in events like AMG Drives, Luxury Experiences, or off-road showcases must adhere to:
    • All safety guidelines and terms signed at registration
    • Instructions from Auto Hangar or event coordinators
  • Auto Hangar shall not be responsible for injuries, damages, or liabilities arising from non-compliance with event or test drive guidelines.
10. Intellectual Property
  • All content, logos, trademarks, images, and vehicle designs displayed on Auto Hangar websites, brochures, or digital platforms are protected under IP laws and belong to MBIL or its affiliates.
  • Any unauthorized use, duplication, or commercial exploitation of these assets is strictly prohibited and may invite legal action.
11. Limitation of Liability
  • Auto Hangar will not be held liable for:
    • Typographical errors in pricing, vehicle specifications, or promotional materials
    • Discrepancies in expected and delivered features where a variant substitution is necessitated
    • Third-party finance or insurance denials
  • Our liability shall, under all circumstances, be limited to the transaction value paid by the Customer to Auto Hangar.
12. Jurisdiction & Governing Law
  • All transactions and disputes shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of India.
  • Exclusive jurisdiction for all legal disputes shall lie with the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.
