What does Mercedes-Benz promise with the EQ models

Earlier this year, the German carmaker Mercedes-Benz launched its first-ever EQ model in
India called the Mercedes-Benz EQC. The EQC is an all-electric SUV introduced as the first
car under the EQ banner by the brand. The EQC will be on sale initially at six major cities like
Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai.

The objective behind the EQ models

For Mercedes-Benz, it is one of their biggest achievements to add electric vehicles to their portfolio. Mercedes-Benz throughout the world has always been a trendsetter and is taking this image one step ahead with the launch of EQ models. This is a milestone for the brand in their journey towards sustainable mobility. With the EQ models, Mercedes-Benz is finally officially entering the all-electric car segment.

Mercedes-Benz globally is striving towards climate-neutral mobility and is powered by a programme called “ Ambition 2039”. The company has invested all the years of experience and the study of the Indian automobile market towards making the Mercedes-Benz EQ models. Their aim for India is to create long-lasting, sustainable mobility options in India.

Battery, Power and Range
The newly introduced EQ model, EQC, is powered by an 80 kWh lithium-ion battery. The battery has a range of about 445-471 km on a single charge. According to the claims made by Mercedes-Benz, the EQC has a power consumption of 20.8-19.7kWh/100 kilometres.
What is on Offer?

Post the launch of the EQC, the brand states that the Mercedes car price in India for the car is
Rs 99.30 lakhs for the first fifty units which include AC wall box charger, home electrical
charger, unlimited road assistance for five years, comprehensive service package for five
years and extended warranty.

Apart from this, EQC owners will have access to the charging points at Mercedes showrooms
in Mumbai, Delhi and other showrooms across India. The Mercedes-Benz network is spread
across a total of 48 cities across India. Mercedes-Benz is also offering 8 years or 1,60,000 km
of battery cover for the new EQ model with buyback value for three years to the customers
during the purchase.

The EQC is a fully-loaded car and comes with tonnes of features like the battery management that allows users to check the battery status of the car, status of charging, available range and also charging completion indicator. Safety is also given priority in the new EQC with biometric ID access.
